Viva Alpaca Farm

An alpaca ranch where you can enjoy nature to the fullest

An alpaca ranch where you can feel nature all year round. You can stroll along the path leading to the summit and enjoy the view from the top. The slopes are covered with clover and flowers, which the alpacas love. In winter, you can observe frost-covered trees and enjoy powder snow on the dedicated airboard slope! Fun for both adults and children. Products made from alpaca wool are sold all year round. A cafe is also open on weekends only.

Alpacas are animals of the camelid family that live in the highlands of Peru, South America, at altitudes of over 3,500 meters. They are allowed to graze for their wool. They are generally sheared once a year. They only have teeth on the bottom, and prefer to eat grass and moss. The alpacas at Viva Alpaca Ranch came to Kenbuchi from Peru via Nasu Big Farm. They are resistant to the cold, and love the snow of Kenbuchi. They are said to live for around 15 to 20 years.
