To commemorate the establishment of the town administration in 1962, approximately 400 trees, including cherry blossoms and azaleas, were planted. The development of the park was promoted, led by the Murakamiyama Park Development Association, and it opened in May 1963. In 2002, a gazebo, restrooms, and a parking lot were developed, and the park was reopened. From the summit, you can get a panoramic view of the central area of the town and enjoy a view of the magnificent Daisetsuzan mountain range directly in front.
