SPOT
The tree got its name from the fact that it was adopted in 1976 to promote Seven Star tourist cigarettes. The neat rows of birch trees next to it are also a hidden photo spot. Surrounding the area are fields that look like a patchwork, depending on the agricultural products that have been planted. The best time to visit is from June to July, when the potatoes are in bloom and the ears of wheat are swaying.
This area is called "Patchwork Road" because multiple crops are planted in each plot, weaving a colorful landscape, and the area around the slightly elevated Seven Star Tree offers a particularly unique view of Biei. Also, in winter, the scene where the Seven Star trees stand in the pure white snowfield with their leaves fallen is different from that in summer, and gives us a sense of the beauty and harshness of the northern country.
The hills covered with wheat fields are a summery scene, but please do not enter the fields. Please do not block the way of large farm vehicles.
