Special Effects DNA Godzilla Arrives in Asahikawa
Date and Time
2025/7/11~9/23
9:30~17:00
Special effects films have used advanced technology and imagination to create visual works depicting gigantic creatures that do not actually exist. In particular, Godzilla, which was created using special effects in 1954, is recognized not only in Japan but all over the world, and remains a popular and iconic character to this day.
Through exhibits such as valuable "suits" and "miniature" materials actually used in the Godzilla series, as well as a huge diorama made especially for the exhibition, this exhibition aims to allow visitors to experience the ideas and technology used in special effects films, such as the special effects and filming techniques used to create the giant monsters, and to stimulate their curiosity and inquisitiveness about science, technology, and manufacturing.
