SPOT
Nakafurano Shrine
A springtime hanami (cherry blossom viewing), autumn foliage, and Nakafu's power spot
Nakafurano Shrine is located halfway up Mt. Hokusei, the town's symbol, with a great view, but its shrine building was also located on the town's plain until 1962. The new shrine building, built with town subsidies and donations from townspeople, is a reinforced concrete structure, which was unusual at the time, and underwent exterior renovations in 2003. Recently, the shrine has become a part of the tourist attractions, attracting visitors in their teens to 40s. We recommend the red seal book and the pet amulet, which is rare in shrines.
