In summer, it is a relaxing hill wrapped in colorful flowers, and in winter, on the silvery-white slopes where skiers gather, it is the town's symbol that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons.

While gazing down at the flower fields of three types of lavender and vibrant annual plants spreading across the entire surface, go to the summit of Mt. Hokusei by an approximately 7-minute tourist lift. You can fully enjoy the Nakafurano-like scenery where the Tokachidake Mountain Range and rural scenery spread out. It is also the venue for the Lavender Festival & Fireworks Display, a festival that heralds summer in the Furano region.

Because a part of the slope is made ungroomed, on the morning after snow has fallen, you can experience a mini backcountry feeling on the slopes. The winter ski lift, although it depends on the snow depth, annually opens from around the second week of January until early March.
