[Summer] Hokuseiyama Lavender Garden
Take the 7-minute lift ride to the top of Mount Hokusei, gazing down at fields of three types of lavender and vibrant annual flowers that stretch out before you. You can enjoy the typical Nakafurano scenery of the Tokachi Mountain Range and the rural landscape. This is also the venue for the Lavender Festival and Fireworks Display, a festival that heralds the start of summer in the Furano region.
[Winter] Hokusei Ski Resort
Parts of the slopes are left ungroomed, so the morning after it snows you can enjoy the feeling of being in a mini backcountry ski resort. The winter ski lifts are open from around the second week of January until early March, depending on the amount of snow.
