Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway (Higashikawa Town)

13. National Shimukappu Central Ski Area (Shimukappu Village)
This is a small ski resort visible from Route 237 in Shimukappu Village. The lift has two unusual rope toys with plastic waist supports on the wires, and they are free to use. The course has a maximum slope of 25 degrees and the longest run is about 1,000 meters. Snowboards can also be skied and night skiing facilities are available.
