8. Minamifurano National Ski Resort (Minamifurano Town)

Located on the south side of Lake Kanayama, this ski resort can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. Located within Hinode Park, this ski resort is easily accessible, just 400 meters from the city center and a 15-minute walk from the station. 12. Shimukappu Central National Ski Resort (Shimukappu Village)

This ski resort can be seen directly in front of you from National Route 237 in Shimukappu Village. The lift has two unusual rope-towing systems with wires and plastic back support, and the great thing about it is that you can use them for free. The slope with a maximum gradient of 25 degrees and a maximum run of about 1000m is suitable for snowboarding and is fully equipped for night skiing.

This ski resort is free and easy for families to use.
