Takinoue Park
A natural canvas where the gods live
If you want to enjoy the four seasons of Yubari, we recommend Takinoue Park. The valley, formed over many years by the erosion of the Yubari River, is filled with strangely shaped rocks and countless waterfalls, large and small, and offers an overwhelming sense of the power of nature.
In the Ainu language, it is called "Ponsou Kamuikotan" (the place where the northern gods live), and as its name suggests, the breathtaking beauty of the valley delights all who visit.
The scenery changes with the seasons: cherry blossoms in spring, green trees in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn. Above all, the autumn leaves that can be enjoyed together with Ryusenkyo Gorge and Chidorigataki Falls make this one of the most famous spots in Hokkaido.
It is easily accessible, about 40 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport, and is a charming park where you can fully enjoy the rich nature of Yubari.
