100 years ago's Meiji era's appearance as it is to modern times conveying old merchant house Maruichi Honma family.
Roof tiles' each and every one, family crests are carved in, and wall surfaces and gate pillars, Western-style's decorations are applied, such as, that time's architectural craftsmen's spirit can be felt.
The Honma family, "Maruichi Honma"'s trade name with, starting to kimono merchant, herring fishing's fishing master, shipping industry, sake brewing industry, such as, along with the times, to a wide range spanning business developed, and house also to that accompanying went on extending.
Currently, building's most part was repaired and restored, and shop and residential part including, vast building's interior can be toured so that it has become.
