Former Mashike Elementary School
Showa 11th year, the Former Mashike Elementary School, which is the largest scale existing wooden school building as for within Hokkaido, was relocated to the hill of Miharashi-cho which overlooks the town, and watched over the children of Mashike spanning over 75 years until March of Heisei 24th year.
In Heisei 13th year, it was designated as Hokkaido Heritage together with the historical building group of the Station Front Hometown History Street.
The feature is, the fact that the ceiling of the gymnasium has become a truss structure.
