The facility combines three corners: the Tourist Information Center, which disseminates information as one of the core centers of the Geopark; the Volcano Disaster Prevention Learning Center, where visitors can learn about disaster prevention measures against volcanoes and natural disasters through various panels and materials; and Sam's Farm Shop, which sells fruits, agricultural products, and processed foods from Sobetsu Town. The information counter also provides road and tourist information for Sobetsu Town and the surrounding areas. A nursing room was newly installed in the building in April 2017. The facility has been reborn as a friendly place for mothers with small children.
As electric vehicles become more common, we have also set up EV chargers and dedicated lanes, so please feel free to use them. (It takes about 30 minutes to fully charge.)
