SPOT
"Mori to Ki no Sato Center" was built as a place to experience and learn the benefits of forests, and to enjoy the joy of growing trees and greenery. From the center, visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Toya, Showa Shinzan, Usu, and Yotei volcanoes and mountains. The adjacent Sobetsu Park overlooks Lake Toya below and is a popular spot to enjoy the flowers of the ume (plum) grove in mid-May. The center also has a barbecue corner in the cooking house, which is a popular place to enjoy even when it rains.
