Forest and Tree Village Center
Overview
The Mori to Ki no Sato Center was built as a place where people can experience the benefits of forests and enjoy the joy of growing trees and greenery. From the center, visitors can enjoy magnificent views of the volcanoes and mountains of Lake Toya, Showa Shinzan, Mt. Usu, and Mt. Yotei. The neighboring Sobetsu Park overlooks Lake Toya below, and in mid-May it is a popular spot to enjoy the plum blossoms of the grove. The center also has a barbecue corner in the kitchen, making it a popular place to enjoy even on rainy days.
