Lake Toya
Lake Toya, which tells the story of 110,000 years of time, is a caldera lake created by a gigantic eruption that produced pyroclastic flows more than 110,000 years ago.
The source of the pyroclastic eruption caved in to form the "Toya Caldera," and rainwater and other substances accumulated in the depression to create Lake Toya.
