Yokozuna "Kitanoumi" Memorial Museum and Sobetsu-cho Local Archives
A must-see for all sumo fans. The museum exhibits the history of Yokozuna Kitanoumi, a native of Sobetsu Town and a great yokozuna of the Showa period, as well as valuable items related to him.
The museum also houses the "Sobetsu-cho Local History Museum," which introduces the history of Sobetsu Town. It exhibits the history and climate of the hometown, which has been built through the harsh nature and lifestyle.
