Oga Falls
A mysterious waterfall with no river upstream
About 20 km from Midorimachi, on the south side of Mt. Shari, deep in the Shari River forest road, in the midst of dense nature, there is a 25-meter-high waterfall in Gonosawa, upstream of the Shari River. The secret is that 30,000 tons of Mt. Shari's Ginrei-sui (silver ridge water) gushes out of the rocks and flows down every day. The surrounding area is dimly lit even in the daytime, and the coolness is especially special in the summer, when the sound of water and the chirping of birds soothe the soul.
We strongly recommend that you carry a bear bell.
