This dammed lake was created in 1998 with the completion of the Nibutani Dam. A walking path and historical walkway dotted with monuments to historical figures is maintained along the lakeshore. In addition, canoes and other vehicles without engines are allowed. Fishing for landlocked salmon and other species is also available, except during closed seasons.
