Kanoko Dam and Lake Oketo
Lake Oketo, an artificial lake with a circumference of 13.4 km, was created by the Kanoko Dam.
This place is said to be a treasure house of wild birds and wildflowers. You can fish for landlocked salmon and ame trout in summer, and wakasagi and rainbow trout in winter.
People visit this place for bird watching, fishing, touring, and cycling.
The Kanoko Dam Management Office offers tours of the facilities (reservations required) and distributes dam cards.
