Furusato no Mori Zoo
Betsukai-cho Furusato no Mori (Hometown Forest) is a vast 71 hectares of nature overflowing with light and greenery.
A promenade has been maintained, allowing visitors to take a leisurely stroll through the forest. The "Furusato no Mori Zoological Museum," which is attached to the park, is a must-see facility for animal lovers, where visitors can observe more than a dozen animal species at any given time free of charge, including the bald eagle, a large eagle that is almost completely uninhabited in Japan.
