"Erimo, the hometown of the sea and the land." Erimo is a town of fishing and tourism located at the southeastern tip of Hokkaido, blessed with abundant marine resources and magnificent natural landscapes. It is also one of Japan's windiest areas, known as the "Land of Extreme Wind." The landing of a rich variety of seafood, such as kombu (kelp), salmon, and sea urchin, forms the backbone of the local economy.
Additionally, the town has numerous scenic spots, including the nationally famous "Cape Erimo" and the heart-shaped "Lake Toyoni," attracting many tourists.
