SPOT
Shoya Sakura Park
Overview
A cluster of wild cherry trees growing on the highlands of Shoya was once selected for the '100 Scenic Spots of Hokkaido,' which was held shortly after World War II. Because it is a place where Shoya Fishing Port and the cherry blossoms can be viewed together, it has become widely known as one of the famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Hokkaido. Slightly later than the arrival of spring, it becomes bustling with many cherry blossom viewers around mid-May each year.
