Otofuke Town is a vibrant town located in the center of the vast Tokachi Plain, adjacent to the north of Obihiro City across the Tokachi River, and boasts the largest population of any town or village in all of Hokkaido. The urban areas of both Otofuke and Kino are well-equipped with large commercial facilities and medical institutions, providing a very convenient living environment. In addition to community buses that circulate through the town, its excellent transportation accessibility, including intercity buses that directly connect to Sapporo City and New Chitose Airport, is also a major strength.

Blessed with a beautiful natural environment offering distant views of the Hidaka and Daisetsu mountain ranges, dynamic and spectacular scenery unfolds throughout the four seasons under the clear blue skies unique to the Tokachi region. It has a culture where the convenience of a sophisticated city and the vast rural landscapes characteristic of Hokkaido are pleasantly harmonized.

Its key industry is agriculture, and it produces an abundance of top-quality agricultural products that support Japan's dining tables, such as wheat, soybeans, adzuki beans, and potatoes, boasting one of the highest production volumes in the country. Furthermore, at Tokachigawa Onsen, a major tourist attraction, a rare amber-colored "Moor Onsen" gushes out. Rich in plant-based organic matter and known for its skin-rejuvenating properties, it is a rarity in the world. Seeking the "Bijin-no-Yu" (Hot Spring for Beauty), which has been designated as a Hokkaido Heritage site, and the rich blessings of the land, it is a charming town that attracts many people throughout the year.
