Illustration! What a free-acting and spontaneous calligraphy exhibition! The comments and more than 6,500 likes have been received.
The theme of the contest was "passion for Monbetsu", and the winning works were selected by voting from more than 90 entries.

One of the words that caught my attention was "Monbetsu Touch.

What exactly is the "Monbetsu Touch"?

I found out that "touch" means "touch & go," "to turn around at the same place you got on" or "to make a round trip on the same day.

Furthermore, Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport has only one round-trip flight per day operated by All Nippon Airways (ANA) between Haneda Airport and Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport. People who take this flight to and from Monbetsu Airport on the same day are called "Monbetsu Touch Tribe". The word "tribe" suggests that there are not just one or two people, but a certain number of them.

Let's take a look at the flight schedule.

Take the flight from Haneda 10:35 - Monbetsu 12:20, and as soon as you arrive, take the flight from Monbetsu 13:00 - Haneda 14:55 to go home. The time spent at Monbetsu Airport was only about 30 minutes! This is exactly what it means to go back to Monbetsu. Why go that far to go to Monbetsu Airport, not to mention the round-trip fare...?

The reason is that many flights have been reduced due to the Corona disaster. and the SNS group supporting ANA has stood up in support of ANA.
