The Winter Olympics featured numerous intense competitions. Many of you were likely on the edge of your seats, cheering on the curling matches, especially with the success of Loco Solare, a team based in Kitami, Hokkaido, who won the silver medal.

In Loco Solare's hometown of Kitami, a confectionery shop called "Kitami Curling Casta" sells adorable, bite-sized pancakes shaped like curling stones, named "Curling Casta."

This is the custard flavor.

The "Curling Casta" was born in 2018, the same year Loco Solare won the bronze medal at the PyeongChang Olympics. Just like the ever-advancing Loco Solare team, it has been gaining more attention year after year!
There are a total of eight flavors, including standard ones like Strawberry Milk, Custard, and Apple Earl Grey, as well as limited-edition seasonal flavors. It has also been selected as a return gift for the Hometown Tax program in Kitami City.

They look cute lined up and baking, too.

This "Curling Casta" is an incredibly popular product, having sold approximately 17,500 units in a single day at Hokkaido product fairs held in famous department stores across Japan! It's said that even the members of Loco Solare come to buy them.
