It was also parodied on the popular American TV show "Saturday Night Live," showing just how popular it was at the time.
Ylvis is a duo of Norwegian brother comedians, Vegard and Bird. They are also known as the hosts of the popular Norwegian variety TV show "I kveld med YLVIS", and this song made them an instant hit.
