Asahiyama Kinen Park, loved by the citizens of Sapporo for its great view, is a very pleasant park that will clear your mind just by visiting. Located on a hill adjacent to Mt. Moiwa and Mt. Maruyama, the observatory at 137.5m above sea level seems to be a favorite of many visitors. Let me share a little of the splendor of the view with you here!

The sky seems to go on forever, and the city of Sapporo spreads out below it. A large parking lot is also available, so you don't have to climb a mountain to see the view.

On a fine day, you can see as far as the Ishikari Plain and the Sea of Japan. The Asahiyama Memorial Park is a 20-hectare area centered around the observation deck.

The park was once a ranch, and after many twists and turns, including a hot spring and a ski resort, it was reopened as Asahiyama Memorial Park in 1970. The park was then redeveloped between 2004 and 2008 to its current form.

The park is large and has many ups and downs, so just strolling around the grounds is a good workout. While walking around the park, you will come across a variety of wild birds, plants, and flowers.

Families visit, people bring their dogs, and camera enthusiasts come to take pictures. ...... At night, the view from the observatory changes dramatically and becomes a place for lovers to talk. Asahiyama Kinen Park is also famous locally as a good spot for night views. The view also changes dramatically with the seasons.

There is a rest house in the parking lot of Asahiyama Kinen Park. In addition to a store and rest area, leaflets about the park are also available, so first-time visitors should stop by the rest house first.

Asahiyama Kinen Park offers a wonderful view from the observatory ......, but the view alone is not enough! Please try to find your own way to enjoy and spend time in the park.
