2. Rishiri Hokuroku Camping Ground (Rishirifuji Town)

Rishiri Hokuroku Camping Ground is located at the entrance of a mountain trail and also has hiking courses, making it perfect for camping focused on 'shinrin-yoku' (forest bathing). The area around the campsite has been selected as one of Japan's '100 Best Forests for Forest Bathing,' and nearby is the 'Kanrosensui' spring, chosen as one of Japan's '100 Remarkable Waters.' The water at the campsite's cooking facilities is drawn from this spring.

3. Pinneshiri Auto Camping Ground (Nakatonbetsu Town)

This is a nature-rich auto-campsite at the foot of Mount Pinneshiri, which has the northernmost maintained mountain trail. You can enjoy camping in various styles, from a free site for tent camping and car sites where you can park right next to your spot, to 4-6 person cottages for a relaxing family stay and trailer houses for a compact, private space.

4. Hamanasu Koryu Hiroba Campsite (Esashi Town)

Located behind a Michi-no-Eki (roadside station), this campsite lets you stay while listening to the sounds and smelling the scent of the Sea of Okhotsk. 5. Kutsugata Misaki Park Campsite (Rishiri Town)

This campsite is located within Kutsugata Misaki Park, which juts out on the west side of Rishiri Island. Being close to the coastline, you can see fishermen harvesting kombu (kelp) and uni (sea urchin), as well as the process of drying kombu up close during the summer season. The Kutsugata Ferry Terminal is nearby, making it a convenient location for shopping. It's a wide-open campsite with great views of Mount Rishiri.

8. Rishiri Island Family Campsite Yuni (Rishirifuji Town)

The campsite's name, 'Yuni,' means 'a place with hot water' in the Ainu language, named so because of the nearby onsen (hot spring). Adjacent to the vast Sarufutsu Village Ranch, this campsite offers a pleasant sea breeze from the Sea of Okhotsk and is also used as an event plaza.
