Kitami City

Winter has come to the North Fox Farm. One morning, the foxes were jumping and running around on the snow. They looked so happy.

Kitakitsune Farm, where foxes live

Around 50 foxes live at the Kita Fox Farm (@kitakitsunefarm ) in Kitami City, Hokkaido. Foxes live throughout Hokkaido and are slightly larger than the Hondo foxes that live in Honshu.

The foxes here are raised in the park from birth. Therefore, there is no need to worry about echinococcus, and you can see them up close and personal.

It is rare to see foxes with such adorable expressions and gestures. If you look closely, you will see that each fox has a different face and character, even though they are all called "foxes. Each fox has its own name, which is introduced on social networking sites along with its picture.

Ezo raccoon dogs welcoming winter together

A family of Ezo raccoon dogs also live together at the North Fox Farm. If you are lucky, you may be able to see a scene of foxes and raccoons getting along with each other, which cannot be seen in the wild. And when more snow falls, you can see foxes diving and stinging in the pure white snow... and more active scenes.

There are a few rules to follow when visiting the park. Keep your face away from the foxes, don't crouch down when a fox is nearby, don't touch the foxes, and so on. Observe these rules and spend a relaxing time with these laid-back foxes.
