An airplane with "Snow Miku," a character that supports Hokkaido, painted on the fuselage arrived at Sapporo Okadama Airport on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Operations carrying the general public began in the afternoon of the same day.

This tie-up was decided upon as the theme of the costume that Snow Miku will wear at the "SNOW MIKU 2023" festival in 2023 will be "sky patterns reminiscent of winter in Hokkaido," and it was seen as a great opportunity to liven up the Hokkaido sky together.

Hokkaido Air System, aka HAC, is a regional airline in Hokkaido that began operations in 1998, and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023. This is also written on the wrapped aircraft along with the catchphrase for this tie-up.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Sapporo Okadama Airport on December 27th. The event was streamed live on the Internet.

The ATR42-600 aircraft that was wrapped this time is an eco-friendly aircraft that is kind to Hokkaido's environment and can operate with significantly less fuel consumption than jet aircraft. All seats offer equal views of the magnificent Hokkaido scenery below the windows.

In the future, there will be a variety of events, including the sale of original design goods, a stamp rally around the seven airports that HAC serves, and a "Flight over Sapporo" in a Snow Miku-wrapped aircraft!
