A Showcase of Mikasa City's Delicious and Fun Attractions! "Hokkaido Super Mikasa Festival! with Snow Miku" Post-Event Report
On December 24, 2023, the "Hokkaido Super Mikasa Festival! with Snow Miku" was held in Mikasa City, located in the Sorachi region of Hokkaido. The event attracted approximately 5,000 visitors from both within and outside the city. It was a day filled with the excitement of Mikasa, featuring food, crafts, stage performances, and more! This post-event report will take a look back at the day's festivities.

The venue was AEON Supercenter Mikasa! Food trucks lined up outside
Despite the heavy snowfall from the previous day, the event day was blessed with clear skies. The event kicked off at 10:00 AM in the crisp, cold air! While the main venue was inside the AEON Supercenter Mikasa, food trucks offering delicious Mikasa cuisine were lined up in front of the store's entrance.
"Tat-chan," popular for its specialty kebab sandwiches

Upon entering the venue, visitors were greeted by Snow Miku & Rabbit Yukine! Beyond the photo spot set up exclusively for the event, various exhibitor booths for food, miscellaneous goods, workshops, and more were lined up.
The 'Mikasa's Delicious Food Booths' section featured shops from within Mikasa City, selling baked goods, bread, and freshly fried Zangi (Hokkaido-style fried chicken). In addition, "Magokoro Kitchen" by the students of Mikasa High School's Culinary Club made a one-day-only appearance. They served two items, "Scallop Chowder Soup" and "Rice Flour Chiffon Cake Parfait with Roasted Sweet Potato Cream Cheese Sauce," satisfying the appetites of many visitors.

The top recommendation is the crispy and fluffy melon bread from "Namae ga Nai Panya (The Bakery with No Name)"

Craft sales booths with a gathering of unique artists
At the 'Craft Sales Booths,' handmade artists from Mikasa exhibited unique small items and handmade accessories. While delighting the eyes of many people passing through the venue, many were also seen seriously considering purchases. Additionally, the booth where visitors could touch a real bear's fur greatly surprised those who came from outside Hokkaido.

At the 'Workshop Booths,' where visitors could discover the joy of various crafts, Mikasa-ならではの workshops were held. These included making Christmas ornaments using locally harvested Todomatsu fir, a unique coloring experience where Rabbit Yukine excavates fossils in Mikasa, and a firewood chopping experience. All booths were bustling with activity, especially with families participating together.

The "piapro Wall" was filled with many memories, including drawings of Snow Miku and Hatsune Miku.
Performances and talks on the mini-stage! Snow Miku and friends also made an appearance
On the mini-stage set up inside the venue, the events kicked off with an opening live performance by the Mikasa Junior High School Brass Band. This was followed by a talk show discussing the charms of Mikasa, and a live performance by Rhythmy, a resident of the neighboring town of Kuriyama. Each stage served as a platform for local residents to present their talents, and all were well-attended by a large audience.

"Rhythmy" captivated the audience with her clear singing voice.
Furthermore, the main characters supporting this event, "Snow Miku" and "Rabbit Yukine," also appeared on the mini-stage! They visited each exhibitor's booth, adding to the excitement of the event.
The "Hokkaido Super Mikasa Festival! with Snow Miku" showcased the rich food and lifestyle of Mikasa. Centered around local families, students from Mikasa, and Snow Miku fans who braved the snow from various places, everyone enjoyed the unique booths.
