Snow-Buried Phone Booth in Hokkaido Goes Viral, Praised as 'a Work of Art'
#PostAPhotoYouTookTooManyTimesAtTheSamePlace
This public phone booth, a relic of a bygone era, left behind by time. Yet even buried and abandoned in the snow, it continues to shine its light, standing tall for a customer who may one day come. I was completely captivated by this sight.

A public phone booth with a mound of snow piled on top! Its form, supporting the snow that looks ready to collapse at any moment, resembles a giant mushroom. On social media, comments poured in, such as "I can't believe it's so sturdy," "The way the snow has piled up is incredible," and "It's practically a work of art."
Photographing Phone Booths in Other Locations Too
The photographer, Tak, was completely captivated by the sight of the booth silently waiting for users amidst the gently falling snow. Although the photo that went viral was taken in 2021, he has also been photographing phone booths in different locations this season.

There's something about its form, standing strong under the heavy-looking snow, that makes you want to cheer it on! A truly wonderful photo captured in the Hokkaido winter.
