This time, we asked Saori Kumagai, a "traveling beauty expert" who travels around Japan and abroad and lives in both Tokyo and Sapporo, to tell us about the charms of Sapporo.

Soup curry has taken root as soul food for Sapporo residents. There are now many restaurants, but RAMAI's is the base flavor of my soup curry. In a spacious space, you can enjoy a hearty soup curry while experiencing the extraordinary feeling of being in Indonesia. The staff are also kind, and I feel that this is a restaurant loved by the locals.

"Ametsuchipurin" is a product that has been specially designed to bring out the unique flavors of each ingredient, in order to better convey the appeal of Hokkaido ingredients. It has a fun texture, and it feels as if Hokkaido itself spreads in your mouth. The cafe that makes the puddings is also wonderful, so please do visit. The coffee that is sold with the pudding is also perfect as a Hokkaido souvenir, and can be purchased online.

Saori Kumagai
As a traveling beauty expert, she has traveled around the world, visiting 40 countries and 47 prefectures. She was born in Sapporo and once moved to Tokyo, but while visiting various cities, she rediscovered the charm of Sapporo, and started living in both Tokyo and Sapporo about 10 years ago. Alongside her work in the beauty industry, she organizes festivals and events to promote Hokkaido, hoping to make people aware of its charms.
