Their representative brand, Takaragawa, and other Junmai sakes are made using rice from Hokkaido and underground water from Otaru's Tenguyama mountain, resulting in a rich, full-bodied flavor. Sake is brewed every day, so you can tour the brewery at any time for free, and there is also a tasting corner. The main store next door was built in 1927 and is designated as a "historic building" by the city of Otaru, so it's worth a visit even if you don't drink alcohol.
