Pika in Biei Town
I went to take photos in early autumn, hoping to see the adorable pika, a creature that lives only in limited areas of Hokkaido.
Being in the nature of Daisetsuzan, I could also feel the tenacity of life in this small creature.

What a wonderful shot capturing a truly adorable moment of the Ezo Naki Usagi (Northern Pika), a rare sight even in Hokkaido!
They apparently tend to build their burrows in piles of stones and rocks, which are cool, dry, and provide a good escape from predators in the summer. The Domingo team would love to see one too.
Higashikawa Town's Evening Scenery
The rice paddies of Higashikawa Town, famous for their "mirror-like" reflections, have been harvested and are now showing their autumn colors.
The cherry trees have also turned crimson, creating a beautiful evening scene on a warm, sunny autumn day.

A warm and lovely photo capturing the soft sunlight and the many colors of autumn just before winter arrives!
The scenery of Higashikawa Town is so soothing as it changes with the seasons, from the mirror-like rice paddies visible for a short time after planting, to the autumn-colored fields after harvest, and the pure white snowscapes of winter.
Taushubetsu River Bridge in Kamishihoro Town
The Taushubetsu River Bridge, which I had wanted to see for a long time.
The bridge is starting to crumble.

The scenery was breathtaking.

A vivid shot of the resilient Taushubetsu River Bridge, built in 1937, in a brilliant collaboration with the colors of autumn!
The Taushubetsu Bridge usually gets submerged by around September each year, but in 2020, due to little snow and rain, it remained visible even in October. This collaboration with the autumn foliage is a truly rare sight.
Hokkaido Mirai Note
Hokkaido Mirai Note is a project that collects photos of Hokkaido taken by everyone on Instagram and compiles them on a website as a single notebook to connect to the future.
