Something pure white is peeking out from a pure white snowfield... This one photo, taken in the nature of Hokkaido, has become a hot topic.

Popping its head out is a wild "Iizuna," or least weasel. The least weasel is a member of the weasel family, primarily inhabiting Hokkaido and northern Honshu, and is known as the "world's smallest carnivore." With its fluffy, pure white winter coat, it looks just like a snow fairy! Its overwhelming cuteness has sparked a flood of comments on social media, such as "I had to zoom in to see it," "Oh, how adorable!" and "I want to give it a gentle squeeze." The post has received over 70,000 likes.

The person who posted the photo is Kocha, a third-year high school student who photographs wild animals in the mountains and parks of Hokkaido. He started taking pictures after entering high school and posts his photos on social media daily with the hope of sharing the richness of Hokkaido's nature with many people.
