Anglers in the Dawn Light of Abashiri & More: Hokkaido Mirai Note (43)
From the wonderful photos of Hokkaido taken and submitted by all of you, we are introducing three carefully selected posts again this time!
Anglers in Abashiri City
The salmon fishing season runs from September to October, coinciding with the salmon run.
Since the fish start biting at dawn, anglers line up before sunrise for lure fishing. The morning glow reflected on the sea is also breathtakingly beautiful.

The rising sun and the line of anglers create a powerful image that evokes a strong sense of “life”!
The Okhotsk area is known for its abundance of fish, and the salmon are said to be large and rich in flavor.
The Domingo team would love to join these anglers for some salmon fishing!
Fresh Squid Bowl in Hakodate City
When you think of Hakodate's morning market, you think of the “dancing squid” bowl!

Even though it's a still photo, it's a dynamic shot that seems to burst with motion!
We've seen many comments saying the texture is completely different from any squid they've had before.
We'd love to try “odorigui” someday—the experience of eating seafood that moves in the bowl and even in your mouth!
Mount Yotei and a Tractor in Niseko Town
Mount Yotei bathed in the colors of an autumn sunset.
A cloud that looked like smoke from the tractor was covering Mount Yotei like a hat, creating an artistic scene.

The balance between the tractor, Mount Yotei, and the lenticular cloud is exquisite, making for an artistic shot!
This type of cloud is often seen over solitary peaks like Mount Yotei, Mount Rishiri, and Mount Fuji. It's formed when moist air is forced to rise over a mountain.
It's also said to be a sign of worsening weather, so seeing a lenticular cloud on a clear day might be quite rare!
