A ranch where you can "interact" directly with miniature horses
This adorable foal lives at Ohisama Farm in Hidaka Town, home to the Monbetsu Racecourse and one of Japan's leading horse-breeding areas. In the spacious grassland, you can interact with the world's smallest horses, known as miniature horses.
The poster, Torosuke, loves Ohisama Farm so much that he visits there once a week. We asked him about the appeal of the farm.
Usually, you can only see the horses through a fence, but the best thing about Ohisama Farm is that you can interact with the miniature horses directly. By interacting with them directly, you can get to know the personalities of each horse, and it feels like you are the owner of a miniature horse.

As they interact with the horses, each one develops their own favorite horse. After a few visits, the miniature horses start to understand me, and they come over to me from afar, asking for a carrot or a scratch.

You can also see the miniature horses running around, sleeping, eating, and generally enjoying their leisurely daily lives, which is another attraction as it allows you to spend some relaxing time here too. It's a place that will soothe your soul.
At Ohisama Ranch, you can experience the daily lives of horses up close. If you visit Hidaka Town, be sure to enjoy this rare experience that you can only get here.
