A Bridge to Majestic Nature: Yubetsu's Suspension Bridge & More | Hokkaido Mirai Note (45)

“Hokkaido Mirai Note” is a project that collects photos of Hokkaido scenery to be preserved for the future.
From the wonderful Hokkaido scenes photographed and submitted by all of you, we've selected three of our favorite posts to share again this time!

Suspension Bridge in Yubetsu Town

This photo was taken during a family trip to Eastern Hokkaido in September 2020, while we were circling Lake Saroma.
I didn't know there was a suspension bridge like this, but when we stopped by Cape Sango, we found this wonderful place.

A note from the Domingo editorial team
A world of deep blue created by the sky's reflection on Lake Saroma! This magnificent shot makes you feel as if you're being drawn into the vast nature beyond the suspension bridge!
At the Tsurunuma Primeval Flower Garden, also known as Cape Sango, the glasswort turns a deep crimson in the fall, creating a beautiful landscape.
I would love to visit in the autumn to see the beautiful contrast between the blue of the sky and lake and the red of the glasswort!

Lake Onneto in Ashoro Town

On a clear autumn morning with crisp air, the fallen leaves floating on the quiet lake surface and the colorful trees captured the essence of autumn.
Mount Meakan, illuminated by the morning sun, looked radiant.

A note from the Domingo editorial team
The blue of the sky, the green of the mountains, the colorful leaves, and Lake Onneto reflecting them all harmonize to create a single image packed with the richness of autumn!
In the Ainu language, "onne" means "old, large" and "to" means "marsh, lake." Lake Onneto shows a completely different face depending on the season and time of day. I'd love to stay for a while and truly experience the seasons here!

Children and Leaves in Sapporo City

I took this photo of children enjoying Hokkaido's all-too-brief autumn. They were overjoyed with leaves bigger than their faces.

You can just imagine the huge smiles hidden behind those big leaves, making this a photo that brings happiness to anyone who sees it!
Is this large leaf from a plane tree? They are often seen as street trees in Sapporo and were first planted around 1936.
In Hokkaido, the snowy white winter season is long, so the colorful autumn is always exciting!
