A bridge to magnificent nature. The Suspension Bridge in Yubetsu Town, etc. [Hokkaido Mirai Note (45)
Here are three of the best photos of Hokkaido's beautiful scenery taken and submitted by our readers!
Suspension bridge in Yubetsu Town
This photo was taken on a family trip to East Hokkaido in September 2020, and we were circling Lake Saroma that day.
We stopped at Cape Sango, not knowing there was a suspension bridge like this, but it was a lovely place.

The color of the sky is reflected in the blue world of Lake Saroma! A magnificent shot that seems to suck you into the wilderness beyond the suspension bridge!
In the Tsurunuma Wild Flower Garden, called "Coral Cape," the crimson-colored coral grasses create a very beautiful scene in autumn.
The contrast between the blue of the sky and the lake and the red of the coral grasses is a beautiful sight!
Onneto in Ashoro Town
On a clear and crisp morning, the autumn leaves and colored trees on the quiet lake expressed the autumn season.
The morning sun shone brightly on Mt.

This photo is filled with the richness of autumn with the harmony of the blue sky, the green mountain, the colorful leaves, and the onneto reflecting them!
In the Ainu language, "onneto" means "old, large" and "to" means "swamp, lake. The Onneto shows completely different appearances depending on the season and time of day, and I would like to stay here for an extended period of time to experience the seasons!
Sapporo children and leaves
I took this picture of my children enjoying the too-short autumn in Hokkaido. They were delighted to see leaves bigger than their faces.

This picture makes me happy, because I imagine that the face hidden by the big leaf must have a big smile on its face!
Is this big leaf a platanus? They are often seen as street trees in Sapporo, but they were first planted around 1936.
Hokkaido has a long winter season when the land is completely white, so it is exciting to see the rich colors of autumn!
