On Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, the first joint real-life event by the two virtual live streamer groups "Nijisanji" and "HoloLive", "DMM Oncre Presents Nijisanji Hololive Friendship Battle 2025", was held at "S.Con Field HOKKAIDO" in Kitahiroshima City. Domingo participated in the event on the first day! We will bring you a report on the heated venue.

The venue was filled with excitement even before the match

A total of six live streamers and talents from the two major VTuber agencies, "Nijisanji" and "HoloLive", appeared at this event. The event was held under the name "An unprecedented VTuber offline baseball live event that the world has never seen before" and showed the game "Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025" on the large LED vision in the S-Con Field.

The doors open at 11:00. First, we walk around the venue in preparation for the opening. VTubers appear all over the venue, as if they are taking over Ace Combat. Digital signage displays players, and life-size panels of 64 deformed characters from four teams are set up in various places.

The thrilling match begins!

The "Nijisanji Hololive Friendship Battle" will be coached by four people: Sara Hoshikawa and Lize Helesta from Nijisanji, Kanata Amane from Hololive, and Pekora Usada. The players who have been trained for three years (in-game time) will compete in a fierce battle. The chairpersons will be Sasaki Saki and Shirakami Fubuki.

The first match is between Usada Pekora's Usatate Pekora Academy and Hoshikawa Sara's Saint Milkyway Academy! The realistic match between the players, all named after VTubers, will have you on the edge of your seat.

Each manager individually posted a video of how they were training their team in advance. The fans have been watching the process closely and have a strong attachment to the event. Just like watching a real baseball game, the fans get excited when a player hits a home run, and the tension is palpable as they hold their breath and watch every pitch.

The stadium in the game is also "Escon Field"

Although it is virtual, the fact that it is being played in a real stadium makes the game more convincing. Before you know it, you'll be glued to the screen!

In between matches, the Ace Combat specialty "Fox Dance" will be performed, and during gift time, Nazono Mito will also appear to announce the winners of the autographed ball giveaway for visitors.

In the first game, Pekora Gakuen won 7-3 with a stable batting line-up. Coach Pekora looked back on the first game and said with joy, "We'll go for the win again next time with our 'weed spirit'."

During halftime, there was "MOGRA presents Nijisanji Hololive Friendly Match Special DJ Time feat. PandaBoY". The venue was in a frenzy with a set list that included songs from Nijisanji and Hololive. Some people were waving their hands up like they were at a real live concert, and some even danced to the music!

The second match was between the Royal Helesta Girls' Academy, coached by Lize Helesta, and Tenkai Academy, coached by Amane Kanata. It was an unpredictable battle from the beginning.

The atmosphere at the stadium was a mix of cheers and cries of disappointment, just like a real baseball game. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Kyoran Meroko of Royal Heluesta Girls' Academy hit a grand slam home run to turn the game around! The final score was 12-7 for Royal Heluesta Girls' Academy. There were many dramatic developments in the game, making it a memorable match for the spectators.

At the awards ceremony after the match, Kyoran Meloko (Nijisanji) and Houshou Marine (HoloLive) were selected as MVPs, eliciting thunderous applause from the audience!
