What you're seeing is a wall of "Yoitomake," a well-known confection from Hokkaido! Paired with the caption, it almost feels like a "Titan" could emerge from behind the wall at any moment...

On social media, users who got the reference commented, "A towering wall of Yoitomake," and "If you break it, will a Yoitomake-kun Titan appear!?" Given that the account calls itself "the hardest-to-eat sweet in Japan," other comments included, "This wall is delicious. But so hard to eat."

We spoke with a representative from Yoitomake

What looked like a single row in the front was actually a "wall" four rows deep.

We spoke with Mr. Takeshima, a representative from Mitsuboshi Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and seller of Yoitomake. He told us this photo was taken during preparations for shipping "Yoitomake Hitokire" (single slices). It seems they had a large number of orders that day, and the sweets were lined up like a wall, which prompted the photo.

We were delighted to see users joining in on the fun with this post. For three days after it was posted, traffic to our official website increased, and some people even purchased Yoitomake. We believe these were customers who came to us because of this post. (Mr. Takeshima, Mitsuboshi Co., Ltd.)

With sales booming, it looks like the wall will continue to stand tall for a while!

It seems the post led to an increase in website traffic and inquiries! We'll be keeping an eye on the fun and friendly posts from Mitsuboshi!
