"Yukinko CAMP FES": A Cozy Winter Music Festival at Sounkyo Auto Camping Ground
During the COVID-19 pandemic, "camping" has become a popular activity, offering a unique escape from everyday life while still being mindful of infection risks. In Hokkaido, "winter camping" provides a completely different kind of enjoyment compared to the summer.
Sounkyo Auto Camping Ground in Kamikawa Town, located at the gateway to Mt. Kurodake in the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range, has begun a trial run of winter operations this year. The campground was renovated in 2020 and reborn as a place where even outdoor beginners can easily enjoy nature, with new additions like trial immigration cottages, a cooking building, and a glamping area.
At this very campground, a limited-capacity snow camp-in festival perfect for outdoor beginners, "Yukinko CAMP FES," will be held for two days on Saturday, March 6, and Sunday, March 7, 2021.

In addition to live music, there will be food stalls, a market, and snow activities like snowshoe hiking, a tent sauna, and wood-chopping experiences. A bar will also be serving local craft beer and sake from the Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery.

To ensure a safe and secure experience amidst the pandemic, this event is exclusively for overnight guests.
Why not enjoy this cozy little music festival at a winter campground?
