Biei Town

At a haskap farm in Biei, Hokkaido, a wild Ezo snow hare is working hard as a "super cute employee"! The sight of him munching on haskap with complete concentration has been attracting attention on social media.

The wild rabbits are eating our blueberries again this year. This year, Hokkaido has been extremely hot, and there are a lot of wasps, so we would like to thank them for eating the blueberries at the bottom of the field that we are not selling and cleaning up the field so that the berries do not get left behind. Our family is short on labor, so the presence of these cute little employees is a great help every year.

The video shows a Siberian hare munching away at haskap berries. In fact, if the fallen blueberries were left unattended, hornets would appear, so the rabbit is helping out as a "cute employee." By eating the fallen blueberries, he protects the farm.

This heartwarming scene has received over 140,000 likes on X, with comments such as, "They're coming in for seasonal part-time work," "It seems like an ideal symbiosis," and "They're wonderful employees."

New life?! The Ezo snow hares frequently visit the farm.

A baby Ezo snow hare. This is a different individual from the one we found in May. New lives are being born one after another, and will continue on to the next generation. Thank you for being born.
