Online consultation "Practice of Emigration to Hokkaido" organized by Hokkaido emigrants who know the real situation.
While interest in emigrating from urban areas to various regions has been growing recently, there are cases where people suffer from the gap between what they imagined before they actually went there and the "reality" after they arrived, and end up leaving the area without consulting anyone.
The "Practice of Emigration to Hokkaido," an online emigration consultation session to be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021, will be hosted by actual emigrants to Hokkaido, and the founders of the event are all actual emigrants to Hokkaido. Those who have moved to Hokkaido because they were attracted by the charms of the various regions of Hokkaido know not only the positive aspects, but also the "reality" of moving to Hokkaido.
Asahiko Kato of Marumegane LLC, who is supporting the planning and operation of this event, moved to Kimobetsu-cho from Tokyo in August 2017, and is introduced on Domingo as a local player in Kimobetsu-cho.
Mr. Kato explains the purpose of this project as follows.
All members of the event's planning and management team are immigrants. All of the participating local government immigration coordinators are "immigration consultation professionals" who receive a total of more than 1,200 cases of immigration consultation annually. We planned this event because we wanted to create a migration event that could only be possible by people who deal with migration onsite on a daily basis.
Migration is a big decision. That is why we believe that it is necessary to have a system that can support the entire process from the consideration of migration to settling down. We hope to use this event as an opportunity to deepen cooperation among emigration coordinators in each region, and to become the first "emigration window" that people can consult when they want to live in Hokkaido.
Sixteen municipalities from all over Hokkaido will participate in this consultation event. Various contents are planned.

Individual consultation booths
Online individual consultation booths will be set up for each municipality. Advance reservations are available for smooth consultations.
Some municipalities will be open for consultations on other days as well.
General Consultation Service for Migration
For those who are considering emigrating but do not have a specific destination in mind, we will offer advance consultation at the general consultation counter. We will support you to organize your life after immigration and help you to consider specific places to move to.
Crosstalk with Migration Coordinators
Participating emigration coordinators will hold a round-table discussion on several themes related to Hokkaido and emigration. This enables participants to get an idea of the characteristics of each town before consulting with the immigration coordinators.
