"This is so wholesome!" An Adorable "Acorn Post" at a Zoo Goes Viral. "It's wonderful that they become treats!"
We've set up an Acorn Post near Monkey Mountain!
We'll use the acorns as treats for the animals, so if you find any in the zoo, we'd appreciate it if you could put them in here!

The "Acorn Post," with its handmade, wooden feel, looks like something straight out of a fantasy anime, creating a heartwarming scene all on its own. The post has received over 1,000 likes, with comments like, "This is such a great idea," "I bet the little kids will collect a lot," and "It's wonderful that they become treats for the animals."
The Acorns in the Post Become Treats for the Animals
We went to see it for ourselves! It's located just to the left of Monkey Mountain.
This "Acorn Post" is for depositing acorns found within the zoo grounds. These acorns then become treats for the animals.
Please be sure to follow the "Acorn Post Rules."
There's a hole on top for dropping in the acorns.
Why Not Look for Acorns While Strolling Through the Zoo?
Autumn has arrived at Maruyama Zoo. The Ezo tanuki (Hokkaido raccoon dogs), Riku and Yuki, were snuggled up together, fast asleep.
As autumn deepens at Maruyama Zoo, why not take a stroll, collect some acorns, and drop them into the post?
