Now in its 29th year, the event features a significant increase in live cooking demonstrations, adding to the excitement of watching food being prepared right before your eyes. From warm dishes perfect for winter to famous sweets, a wide array of delicious treats from across the country will be available.

Tour of Popular Tastes from Around Japan

A fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth thick-cut omelet sandwich. Making its Hokkaido debut from Kanagawa: "SUNDOWNER Tokyo Omelette" with their SUNDOWNER Omelette Sandwich® with Kamakura Loin Ham and Gouda Cheese.

A mini eat-in corner will also be available, where you can savor freshly made dishes like omelet rice, udon, beef tendon curry, and shaved ice made with natural ice. EVENT 2 Enjoy snow activities like tube sledding and cross-country skiing at "Hitsujigaoka Snow Park 2026"

"Tube sledding" where parents and children can slide together.

This is a winter snow play event held at the Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill. You can experience a variety of snow activities such as tube sledding, cross-country skiing, snow sliding, and kamakura (snow huts) for just the price of admission. All equipment is available for free rental, making it a great option for tourists to participate empty-handed.

Hitsujigaoka Snow Park

The large "kamakura" made of snow is warm inside, making it a perfect spot for a break.

There are also plenty of family-friendly activities, such as snow striders for young children and mini-snowman building. The location, with its panoramic view of Sapporo city and picturesque snowy landscapes, is also very popular. This is the winter special exhibition held at the Sapporo Science Center at the beginning of the year. It introduces the science hidden in the familiar bath in an easy-to-understand way, covering topics like the ingredients and color differences of hot springs and the effects of bathing on the body. There will also be hands-on events you'll want to try, such as playing the role of a bathhouse attendant, using traditional 'yumomi' stirring paddles, and experiencing being a sauna steam master. Don't miss the interactive exhibits like the "no-wet foot bath" and an area where you can enjoy the scent of cypress, as well as the special science shows held daily.
