Sapporo Aquarium Offers Free Entry to Tourists Stranded by Disastrous Snowfall: "We Hope to Soothe Your Weariness"
AOAO SAPPORO in Sapporo's Tanukikoji Offers Free Admission to Airport Passengers!
AOAO SAPPORO, an urban aquarium directly connected to the Sapporo Chikagai Pole Town underground shopping mall, has announced free admission for passengers stranded at the airport! From January 26th to 31st, anyone with a plane ticket for flights departing from or arriving at New Chitose Airport or Okadama Airport on January 25th or 26th can visit the aquarium for free.
The aquarium also features a coworking space.
With many people unable to return home, the aquarium staff decided to launch this initiative at short notice, hoping to "let visitors take home at least some fun memories of Sapporo" and wondering "if there was anything we could do." Come spend some warm, relaxing time watching the adorable penguins and jellyfish at this indoor aquarium, which is directly connected to the Chikaho underground walkway.
