This time, we'd like to introduce the soft serve from "Aichurando," a shop that has been beloved and popular for over 20 years in Naganuma, Yubari District, an area known as an ice cream hotspot. Just imagining it might make your mouth water.
While Aichurando sells a variety of products like parfaits and crepes, its star product is undoubtedly the soft serve. Taking a peek into their back kitchen, the long line of soft serve machines is a breathtaking sight. The flavor changes subtly with the seasons—less sweet and more refreshing in the summer, and richer in the winter. This is possible because they don't use commercial ingredients and produce everything in-house.
When you hold it, you can feel its substantial weight, making it very satisfying. And at the reasonable price of 330 yen (tax included), it's a great deal for students too. For an extra 50 yen, you can upgrade the regular cone to a waffle, waffle cocoa, or crispy maple cone.
Aichurando celebrated its 25th anniversary in June 2021. From the beginning, it gained popularity as a shop open year-round, where you could enjoy delicious soft serve anytime. Now, it has become so famous that not only locals but also tour buses stop by. When you visit Naganuma, be sure to stop by Aichurando. The melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness of their soft serve is sure to leave everyone truly satisfied.
