Create the future of East Hokkaido with your own hands! Vision book project to collect the ideals of 1,000 people has been launched.
Dot Doto, founded by creators in the Doto area of Hokkaido, has launched a new project to publish an "Unofficial Vision Book of Doto" The crowdfunding page went live on June 21, 2021.
Dot-Doto's June 2020 publication of .doto, an unofficial guidebook for the Doto area, was produced with many creators and friends in Hokkaido and beyond, and the process and richness of the content became the talk of the town, with the total number of copies printed topping 10,000. It also made a big splash when it won the Grand Prize in the Regional Development Category (Cabinet Office Director-General's Award for Promoting Regional Development) of the 2020 Japan Regional Contents Awards.
What Dot-Doto has newly launched is a project to create an unofficial vision book of Dot-Doto that collects the ideals of 1,000 people. Mr. Kazumori Nozawa of Dot Doto explains how the project came about.
This vision book is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2022. The crowdfunding plan includes the production of the book and joining the events that many people participated in the previous ".doto" production, so why don't you join us?

The ".doto" guidebook was a way to visualize the dots that had been connected up to this point. We felt the limits of what we could do alone in each region, but through working together on the project, we realized that we could do things as a team that we could not do alone, and that in the broad area of "East Hokkaido," we could meet people and skills who share our ideas and realize our ideals. We decided to produce the "Vision Book" in order to share this with more people.
Instead of saying "I have no choice but to live in Doto," we would like to increase the number of people who say "I can do it in Doto" or "I can do it because it is in Doto. We want to create a place to communicate what we each want to achieve and what we can do, and we want people to have the desire to "create the future of East Hokkaido with our own hands.
The ideal is not something big, but something simple like "I want to continue living in a house with a view of the Hidaka Mountains" or something like that. We would like not only those who have a connection to Doto, but also those who would like to visit Doto, to tell us about the ideals they would like to realize in Doto.
We are also planning to offer returns that will allow us to work together on productions and other projects. For those who want a chance to connect with people in their hometown in Doto, or who want to do something but don't know where to start, we have prepared returns that will allow you to get involved with many people.
