A Socially Distanced Bon Odori for the COVID-19 Era?! Announcing The 2nd Hokkaido Dokodemo Bon Odori with Domingo
That's why Domingo, following up on last year's event, is holding "The 2nd Hokkaido Dokodemo Bon Odori with Domingo" from August 14th (Sat) to August 29th (Sun)! It's a new form of Bon Odori for the COVID-19 era, allowing you to enjoy that "Shanko Shanko♪" dance from anywhere.
The "Hokkaido Dokodemo Bon Odori with Domingo" is an online Bon Odori event that streams the music and video to each participant's smartphone at the exact same time. This allows you to dance in sync with others, anytime and anywhere.
To participate, simply press the "Join" button on the official website during the event period!
The system is designed so that no matter when, where, or how you join, the music and video will be perfectly synchronized with all other participants.

The music is the local folk song "Kodomo Bon Odori Uta," famous for its "Shanko Shanko♪" chorus that everyone in Hokkaido knows and loves. This is a special version produced by Crypton Future Media for the "DokoBon" event, featuring the voice synthesis software "Hatsune Miku."
It also comes with a video of Crypton's own characters who support Hokkaido, "Rabbit Yukine" and "Snow Miku," dancing to the music, so even if you don't know the moves, you can easily join in the fun!
This initiative also serves as a demonstration experiment for "Songle Sync," a large-scale music synchronization control technology developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). Thanks to Songle Sync's technology, all participants can share the same music and video at the same time, no matter when or where they join, allowing everyone to enjoy the same Bon Odori experience together.
Songle Sync is a large-scale music synchronization control platform that enables integrated performances by simultaneously controlling a wide variety of devices in time with music playback on the web. Anyone can freely combine their own devices, such as smartphones and PCs, to create performances that light up or move in sync with their favorite songs. Songle Sync has been developed and is publicly available from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).
