作家・三浦綾子氏の旧宅を復元し、小説「氷点」執筆の部屋や小説・映画「塩狩峠」に関する資料などを展示しています。
また、JR塩狩峠が隣接しており、当地は「塩狩峠一目千本」という桜の名所で、5月中旬にはエゾヤマザクラが峠一面をおおいその美しさを誇っています。
