Sapporo Art Park Open-Air Museum
Date and Time
2024/4/27~
The Sapporo Art Park Open-Air Museum is located in a lush, undulating natural setting. 74 sculptures by 64 artists are on display on a 7.5 hectare site, including works by leading contemporary sculptors, mainly from Japan, Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland, and works donated by Sapporo's sister cities. Many of the works are actually donated by the artists themselves. Many of the works were newly created for each location based on the artist's actual visits to the area, the topography, the surrounding conditions, and the climate of Sapporo.
In the northern nature that changes from season to season, the sculptures show a great variety of expressions depending on the weather and time of day. Please enjoy an encounter with the sculptures under the open sky or in the forest.
